Fiction: Obama was given an ‘African’
name. Fact: Obama is a Muslim who has concealed his religion.
He has treated his Muslim heritage as a dark secret. His grandfather was named
‘Hussein.’ That is an Arabic-Muslim, not African, name. Hussein was
a devout Muslim and named his son, Barack Senior, ‘Baraka.’ Baraka
is an Arabic word meaning ‘blessed.’ Baraka comes out of the Koran
and Arabic, not Africa. Barack Senior was also
a devoted Muslim, and also chose a Muslim name for his son, our own Barack
Obama, Junior. Again, his name was an Arabic and Koranic.
Fiction: Obama Senior was a harmless student
‘immigrant’ who came to the United States only to study. Fact: Obama was part of one of the most corrupt
and violent organizations in Africa: the
Kenyatta regime. Obama’s father ran back to Kenya soon after the British left.
It is likely Obama’s father had Mau Mau sympathies or connections, or he
would not have been welcomed into the murderous inner circle of rapists,
murderers, and arsonists. I believe Obama’s secret shame at his family
history of rape, murder and arson is what actualizes him. Our research is not

Soetoro, an Indonesian Muslim and moved to Jakarta, Indonesia.
Obama’s half-sister, Maya Soetoro was born after the family moved to Indonesia.
Soetoro enrolled his stepson in one of Jakarta’s
Muslim Wahabbi schools. Wahabbism is the radical teaching that created the
Muslim terrorists who are now waging Jihad on the rest of the world. Obama
later attended a Catholic school in Indonesia. At age 10 Obama was sent
back to Hawaii to be raised by his white
maternal grandparents and to attend the prestigious PunahouAcademy.
He attended OccidentalCollege, followed by ColumbiaCollege and ColumbiaUniversity.
After Obama’s parents divorced when he was two, he spent
only one month with his father before his father’s death in a vehicle
wreck when Obama was 20. After college, Obama entered Harvard Law where he was

about his family history to African-Americans in Selma. Barack Obama went to Selma, Alabama
last week to honor the heroes of the civil rights era. He called them the
“Moses generation.” That was all true. Few people have demonstrated
more bravery than the civil rights workers of the 50’s and 60’s who
put their lives on the line to free America from the oppressive yoke of
segregation. But Obama went further, and placed himself in a “Joshua
Generation,” who are the heirs of the Moses contingent. Unfortunately,
Obama was no Joshua; he was just joshin’. // To put it bluntly, Obama is
a congenital liar. Obama grew up lying to himself. When he went to Kenya and
discovered that his mother had painted a fantasy world concerning his father
Obama paused, and then just resumed and kept on lying. He is still lying. I
recently reread Dreams From My Father,
Obama’s “biography” of his early years. Afterwards, I
notified Random House, the current publishers (Obama dumped his original
publishers when he became famous) that Obama’s book is not biography or
autobiography.
Much of it is complete fiction and fabrication. In
“Dreams,” when Obama visits Africa
he discovers his grandfather, Hussein Onyango Obama. Onyango is an incredibly
powerful figure and an absolutely impressive human being. During the colonial
era Onyango educated himself, ingratiated himself with the British, went on to
adopt western ways, traveled with British officers across Europe and Mesopotamia during World War I and ended up making a
fortune in farming and real estate. Decades after his death, Onyango’s
legacy endures. In 2004 the Kenyan Newspaper The Nation of Nairobi stated
Onyango’s descendents lived in a “vast well-kept compound with
[Onyango’s last wife’s] brick house sitting imposingly at end far
end.” Yet Saturday in Selma Obama defamed both his grandfather Onyango
and his father Barack, Sr. He lied about his very impressive family history in
order to pander to African-Americans in the audience and to appeal to their
basest instincts and most unfortunate prejudices.
LIE: Obama told Selmans that to his death Onyango
was a “boy” for the British, who called him by his first name, not
his last. I grew up in a restaurant, worked in a restaurant and eat out several
times a week. In places where I am known, I am called “Andy” and I
respond by telling servers “Hello, George” or “Hello
Angelo” or “hello” whomever is taking care of me. There is
nothing sinister about referring to staff by their first names. We do it all
the time. I don’t know anyone, anywhere who eats in a restaurant
regularly who would walk in and refer to the maitre d’hotel as “Mr.
so-and so.” Obama degrades Onyango by telling his audience his
grandfather was called by his first name. For shame. He took a man who was
incredibly impressive and a giant for his time in Kenya, and ultimately deprecates
and diminishes his grandfather. Obama’s disgrace of his grandfather is a
telling insight into his unstable personality. He will lie about anything and
everything to pander to his audience and to stimulate base and hostile
instincts in his listeners.
FACT: Grandfather Onyango was educated, wealthy and owned property.
Yes, Onyango did begin working for the British, and he lived a British life. He
adopted British ways. He insisted on scrupulous cleanliness in his home at a
time when rural Africans were not aware of western standards of hygiene.
Onyango converted to Islam during this period. As The Nation story stated
“The Obama family are among the few Muslims in the locality.”
Onyango was a proud man, an imperious man and a “founding father”
to a successful dynasty. He would be disgusted at the way Obama has tap danced
to avoid admitting his Muslim family heritage.
LIE: Seeking to hijack the civil rights movement
and to attach the suffering of civil rights workers to his own personal
aggrandizement, Obama told his audience in Selma “[M]y grandfather began
to imagine something different…His son, who grew up herding
goats…So the Kennedy’s decided we’re going to do an air
lift..This young man Barack Obama got one of those tickets…”
Barack, Sr. arrived in Hawaii
two years before Kennedy even ran for the presidency, three years before
Kennedy took office. There was no Kennedy “air lift” and no Kennedy
“ticket” which brought his father to America. Obama’s speech was
all a lie. Obama also repeated the lie that his father was “herding
goats.” I am sure Onyango insisted that his son help care for the large
amount of livestock on his wealthy farm, no doubt because Barack, Sr. was a bit
of a wise guy and his dad wanted to make him toe the line. But Barack, Sr. was
a bright student, indeed a brilliant one, who initially went into commercial
work and had no part of any career “herding goats.” The “goat
herd” lie is one which Obama has constantly repeated over the past three
years.
FACT: Obama’s father, Barack, Sr. came to American in 1958. He
married Obama’s mother in 1960 and Barry was worn in 1961. Onyango opposed
Barack, Sr. going to America
because his son had a wife and child in Kenya.
LIE: Obama told the audience in Selma,
“There was something stirring across the country because of what happened
in Selma,…so
[my parents] got together and Barack Obama, Jr. was born.” Among the
nation’s media, only the Chicago Tribune, to its credit, even bothered to
inquire about this bald-faced lie. Obama’s spokesman said Obama was
“speaking metaphorically” about his birth date. (Chicago Tribune, March 5, 2007). How can
someone speak “metaphorically” when stating the facts about
one’s conception? Over and over again Obama lied to the Selma audience. By 1965, Obama, Sr. had
returned to Kenya and joined
the Kenya
government. The civil rights movement and Selma
had absolutely no impact on him and his “wife” in Hawaii in 1960. None. There was nothing
“metaphorical” in Obama’s lies Sunday about his grandfather
and father. Nothing metaphorical about the lies concerning the date when
Obama’s father came to America.
Nothing “metaphorical” about misrepresenting the relationship of
his parents in 1965. How can someone lie about basic, objective facts about
himself and then, when challenged, claim that he was being
“metaphorical?” Still, only the Chicago Tribune even bothered to
challenge this torrent of lies.
FACT: Obama was born in 1961. The riot in Selma, Alabama
took place in 1965. By 1965, Barack, Sr. had abandoned his second wife
(Obama’s mother) and moved back to Kenya
after going to HarvardUniversity, where he
cavorted with the woman who would become his third wife and bear his third
family. Barack’s father and mother had no relationship at the time of Selma. In
“Dreams” Obama never mentions at any time any connection between
his parents and civil rights, or any support that his grandfather had for his
son Barack, Sr. going to college in America. All of these lies have
arisen recently, as Obama has expanded his pandering and false family history. Syndicated columnist Linda Chavez recently wrote of Obama that his pain
comes not from the racism Obama claims as its source but rather from his
parental abandonment. It is absolutely true that children who are abandoned
bear those scars into adulthood. Obama was abandoned and in flashes of candor
he returns to the lingering pain of that abandonment. Abandoned children
usually create fantasy worlds, in which the absent parent is a fantasy figure.
These fantasies can linger into adulthood. In Obama’s case he went to Kenya and got
the shock of his life as a young adult when he confronted the reality of who
his father was and what he had done. Obama, Sr. was having children
simultaneously with different wives. He had four wives and was a polygamist.
But instead of accepting the pain and trying to deal with it, Obama retreated
back into his “fantasy family” world. How can Obama lie this way,
over and over, year after year? In childhood, compensation for an absent parent
begins as fantasy and “pretend” to comfort the child. Gradually, as
a child becomes an adult the fantasies and pretenses morph into self-deception
and then outright lies. A disconnect persists and grows between the real world
and the inner child-life fantasy refuge that offers comfort and solace. In
“High Risk: Children Without a Conscience,” the authors described
children who suffer from incomplete bonding. Obama is such a person. He can lie
about the facts because reality is meaningless to him. His fantasy world is
what controls. And because of the hope, and guilt, that have surrounded his
political climb his supporters and his audiences have failed to confront Obama
over his confusion of fantasy and reality. Obama’s supporters have been
his enablers. The more he lies; the more he gets away with. The bigger the lie,
the less he is called on it. I want to emphasize that this column is not
concerned with family history per se. This column is focused on an adult
individual who can’t keep himself from lying about facts, who fabricates
a fantasy family history and who spends his public life in a pretend world.
This column is about Barack Obama’s personality disorder. On February 10th,
2007 as Obama was announcing his candidacy we issued a psychological profile of
Obama. It should be read and reread by anyone concerned about Obama’s
unstable personality.
A few weeks ago, when the Los Angeles Times was reporting on
Obama’s fabrications involving his role in the AltgeldGardens
asbestos removal program, Obama’s staff members had to go to outside
sources because Barry himself had no recollection of the lies he had told in
his book, and the fabricated characters he had inserted in his
“autobiography.” That is why I think I have a fair chance of wining
a lawsuit against Random House if that company continues to enable
Obama’s fabrications. After the controversy over AltgeldGardens
exploded, Lynn Sweet of the Sun-Times reposted her August, 2004 article in
which she expressed frustration and exasperation at Obama’s deceptions in
“Dreams.” The media do not want to admit that Obama is disordered,
because that would prick the balloon they have created around him. //
THE BOTTOM LINE: Someone who lies habitually about objective facts, someone who
fabricates a family history, someone who trashes his ancestors and diminishes
them with false claims, is not someone that most of us would trust to be in the
Oval office. The truth about Obama is there in plain view. It is there for all
of us, and especially the media, to see. But there are “none so blind as
those who will not see, none so deaf as those who will not hear.” And
none so stupid as those who consciously avoid the truth because they want to
keep on reporting Obama’s lies. Both Mr. Obama and the mainstream media
owe the American people an explanation and an apology. But don’t hold
your breath. Obama’s too busy making up new lies to even know what the
truth is any more. Obama is not part of any “Joshua Generation.” He
has been “joshin’” us all along, and we keep taking it. He
may be a Kool-Aid salesman. But we keep buying and keep drinking. Two and a
half years ago I held a news conference in Chicago to denounce Obama as a fraud. Events
since then have all corroborated my facts and confirmed my conclusions. I told
you so. In 2004.”

decided he posed a flight risk and revoked his $2 million bond. At a hearing in
federal court, prosecutors said Mr. Rezko, who is under indictment for
extortion, had received almost $3.5 million in secret payments from an
Iraqi-born British billionaire. Mr. Obama is facing mounting questions about
having received thousands of dollars in campaign contributions from Mr. Rezko
even as he gains momentum from a fresh primary win and a string of high-profile
endorsements.
Mr. Rezko, a key figure in the Illinois political establishment, faces a
two-month trial beginning Feb. 25 that is expected to plumb his dealings with
various state politicians as the final Democratic primary contests play out.
The case took a twist yesterday with allegations by prosecutors that the
Syrian-born Mr. Rezko might be preparing to flee and had received $3.5 million
from a Lebanese bank account held by General Mediterranean Holding SA, a
Luxembourg-registered vehicle for billionaire London investor Nadhmi Auchi. Mr. Auchi was
convicted in France
of fraud in 2003. Efforts to reach Mr. Auchi for comment were unsuccessful.
Prosecutors also alleged Mr. Rezko in 2005 asked unnamed Illinois politicians to lobby the State
Department to grant a visa to Mr. Auchi. [DS: Don’t fool yourself into
thinking he didn’t ask Obama, and that Obama didn’t try to help.
It’s fair to say, he was probably involved.] Bill Burton, spokesman for
the Obama presidential campaign, said the senator didn’t ask the State
Department to provide Mr. Auchi with a visa. Mr. Obama received more than
$150,000 in contributions donated or raised by Mr. Rezko during his political
career. The senator also purchased property from the developer’s wife.
While federal prosecutors in Chicago
are mainly focused on Mr. Rezko’s ties to the governor of Illinois, they claim in
court papers that Mr. Rezko illegally reimbursed another donor for a $10,000
contribution to Mr. Obama’s 2004 Senate campaign. Mr. Rezko has denied
any wrongdoing. The Obama campaign had no comment yesterday on the latest
developments in the Rezko investigation. The senator has denied any impropriety
in his dealings with the developer. The Obama campaign has said it would return
any contributions raised by Mr. Rezko because they might be deemed
inappropriate. Mr. Obama has returned more than $85,000 in contributions
associated with Mr. Rezko, including $40,000 earlier this month. [DS: Did Obama

State and federal campaign records indicate Mr. Rezko may have
helped raise an additional $80,000 or more. Among the contributions Mr. Obama
hasn’t returned, for example, is $4,500 from Mr. Rezko’s
real-estate attorney, Michael Sreenan. Mr. Sreenan didn’t return calls
yesterday. The Obama campaign says it is still trying to determine which
contributions came from Mr. Rezko. “We are constantly reviewing our
donations and we are sure we will have an even more full review done by the end
of the month,” Mr. Burton said. In U.S. District Court for the Northern
District of Illinois yesterday, prosecutors said Mr. Rezko had claimed
“he had no access to significant sums of money,” a Justice
Department brief states. In April 2007, the Federal Bureau of Investigation now
says, a firm controlled by Mr. Rezko received the $3.5 million from General
Mediterranean, an investor in one of the developer’s Chicago real-estate projects. The funds were
allegedly used by Mr. Rezko to pay his lawyers and for various debts. Mr. Rezko
is under indictment for fraud, extortion and money laundering related to an
alleged scheme to pressure businesses for payments in exchange for contracts
managing funds from the state Teachers’ Retirement System and Health
Facilities Planning Board. He has pleaded not guilty. Prosecutors also alleged
that Mr. Rezko has provided more than $500,000 to federal fugitive Alber
Najjar, who is believed to be hiding in Lebanon
since his 2004 indictment in Chicago
on gambling charges. Clearly, Barack Obama was very comfortable in doing
business with a man who brings Middle Eastern values to the Middle
West and not in a good way. Believe me, there isn’t just one
Tony Rezko in the Obama stable. There are many. . . many who will have
influence on him in an Obama White House.

answer when asked if Auchi helped buy the senator’s house. He said the
senator did not recall ever meeting Auchi, who was convicted of corruption
charges in France
in 2003. A lawyer for Auchi told the London Times that his client is not aware
that the money from a company linked to Auchi was used to buy Mr. Obama’s
house. The newspaper stated that Auchi and Mr. Obama had a brief encounter in
2004 at the Four Seasons Hotel in Chicago.
A 2004 Pentagon report obtained by The Washington Times identified Auchi as a
global arms dealer and Iraqi billionaire “who, behind the facade of
legitimate business, served as Saddam Hussein’s principle international
financial manipulator and bag man.” The report to the Pentagon inspector
general stated that “significant and credible evidence was developed that
a conspiracy was organized by Nadhmi Auchi to offer bribes to ‘fix’
the awarding of cellular licensing contracts covering three geographic areas of
Iraq” under the U.S. Coalition Provisional Authority.”

actively working with him to secure Barack’s first electoral victory in Illinois. But wait,
there is more. Barack and Ayers also served on the board of the Woods Fund. And
they worked together to give money to some other folks, including a group with
ties to the PLO. What makes Ayers so toxic is his own written record equating
U.S. Marines with terrorists. Look at the beating that John Kerry took for
tossing his medals over the White House fence. Ayers did not toss medals, he
threw bombs. Real ones. Bombs that exploded. // The two were serving on the
same board in 2002. We are talking less than six years ago and the record will

wrote a book called Between Two Ages: America’s Role In The Technetronic
Era, in which he described a new society, “...that is shaped culturally,
psychologically, socially, and economically by the impact of technology and
electronics - particularly in the area of computers and communication”.
He said in the book that “national sovereignty is no longer a viable
concept” and suggested the movement, in stages, “toward a larger
community of the developed nations... through a variety of indirect ties and
already developing limitations on national sovereignty”. In 1990, he
wrote in the Elite’s mouthpiece, the New York Times, that Europe should
follow a policy “founded upon the grand concept of a trans-European
commonwealth with the European Community at its core, but embracing Central
Europe and being open also to eventual association with the Soviet
Union”. You can see where this guy is coming from. David
Rockefeller was so impressed with Brzezinski that he made him director of the
Trilateral Commission, which recruited members from all areas of influence and
power in the United States, Europe and Japan. Many of those recruited were
already members of the Council on Foreign Relations; some were Bilderbergers,
too, and others, like Henry Kissinger, were linked to all of them and the Royal
Institute of International Affairs as well. Among the seventeen people who
met at the Rockefellers’ estate (Pocantico Hills in Tarrytown, New York)
to plan the Trilateral Commission on July 23rd and 24th
1972, were C. Fred Bergsten (CFR, Bilderberg), Senior Fellow at the Brookings
Institute and a former Assistant for International Economic Affairs to Henry
Kissinger; and McGeorge Bundy (CFR, Bilderberg), the President of the Ford
Foundation and head of the National Security Council under both John Kennedy
and Lyndon Johnson. The early funding for the Trilateral Commission came from
David Rockefeller, the Ford Foundation, the Kettering Foundation, the Lilly
Endowment, the Rockefeller Brothers Fund, and the Thyssen Foundation, with
smaller amounts donated by organizations like General Motors, Exxon, Coca Cola,
Time magazine, CBS, and the Wells Fargo Bank.
The Commission made its headquarters at 345 East 46th Street, New
York. One of the first ambitions for David
Rockefeller and his Trilateral Commission was to put a commission member in the
White House as President of the United
States as soon as possible. He achieved this
at the next election when Jimmy Carter, the Democrat peanut farmer from Georgia, beat
Gerald Ford. Carter was selected for president by Rockefeller and Brzezinski
and the whole Elite network of money, media, and dirty tricks were used to
ensure he was elected. Carter was another puppet president controlled by the
Elite. His speeches in his election campaign were written by Brzezinski and none could have been more insulting to the
truth than his acceptance speech for the Democratic nomination. In the world of
politics you don’t tell people what you stand for; you tell them what
they want you to stand for. When you look at Carter’s background, what
greater example of this could there be than when he spoke of: “...a
political and economic elite who have shaped decisions and never had to account
for mistakes nor to suffer from injustice. When unemployment prevails, they
never stand in line looking for a job. When deprivation results from a confused
welfare system, they never do without food or clothing, or a place to sleep.
When the public schools are inferior or torn by strife their children go to
exclusive private schools. And when the bureaucracy is bloated and confused,
the powerful always manage to discover and occupy niches of special influence

.”And quite right, too”. Carter’s administration was awash
with Trilateral Commission members. Among its ranks were Walter Mondale,
the vice president; Cyrus Vance, the secretary of state; Warren Christopher,
the deputy secretary of state; Harold Brown (CFR), secretary for defense; W.
Michael Blumenthal (CFR), secretary of the treasury; C. Fred Bergsten (CFR,
Bilderberg), assistant secretary of the treasury for international affairs;
Henry Owen (CFR), the ambassador-at-large and the president’s special
representative for economic summits; Paul C. Warnke (CFR), chief disarmament
negotiator; Andrew Young (CFR), ambassador to the United Nations, Paul A.
Volcker (CFR, Bilderberg), chairman of the Federal Reserve Board, and...Zbigniew

The Bohemian Grove is the site of an annual two-week summer retreat [in
July] on a 2,700 acre redwood estate about 75 miles north of San

in 1872 by five reporters of the San Francisco Examiner as a social club
“to help elevate journalism to that place in the popular estimation to
which it is entitled.” By 1878, when the first Grove-fest took place,
reporters were being pushed out. Newsweek (August 2, 1982) called it “the
world’s most prestigious summer camp”. There is a $2,500 initiation
fee, and annual dues of $600. Nearly every Republican President since Calvin
Coolidge has been a member of this “conservative” club, and
President Herbert Hoover called it the “greatest men’s party on Earth.”
Among its 2,000 members are other high level government officials, and the very
elite of America’s
corporate power, who sit on a variety of organizations such as the Trilateral
Commission, CFR, and the Committee for Economic Development. Members “...own
25-30% of all privately held wealth in America,
own 60-70% of the privately held corporate wealth ... direct the large
corporations and foundations, and dominate the federal government in Washington.” The
bottom line, is that the Grove provides “one of the most influential
meetings of the powers-that-be” and a setting for policy-making on

first atomic bomb) was first discussed at the Grove. One of the few stories to
emerge was about a 1967 agreement by Ronald Reagan over a drink with Nixon to

team” who would pick, screen, and propose appointees for major

events, but delinking the dollar from its exchange for gold on August 15, 1971
was only the first stage in the Elite strategy. In May 1973, the Bilderberg
Group met on an island at Saltsjoebaden,

the chairmanship of Prince Bernhard, the meeting brought together 84 leading

presentation was made that was to affect the entire world. Walter Levy, the US
Government’s official oil economist for the Marshall Plan after the war,
announced a proposal to increase the price of oil by 400%. Just five months
later, in October 1973, came the ‘Yom Kippur War’ when Egypt and Syria
unsuccessfully invaded Israel.
It was this excuse that the Arabs used to massively inflate the price of oil,
cut production, and announce an oil embargo against the USA for supporting Israel. Yet again the world economy
was thrown into a frenzy of pain and turmoil. In Britain, there was a three-day
working week to preserve fuel stocks and millions lost their jobs and
livelihoods throughout the world. The poor countries of the Third
World were devastated, making them open to the next stage in the
strategy - unrepayable debt. The architect of the Yom Kippur War was the US
National Security Advisor and Secretary of State, Henry Kissinger. The
‘shuttle diplomacy’ for which he became famous and much revered
was, in fact, a policy of misrepresenting each side’s position to the
others, thus making war inevitable. This is what Kissinger did via the Israeli
Ambassador in Washington, Simcha Dinitz, and his diplomatic contacts in Egypt
and Syria. Look at the wars and terror that Kissinger has been responsible

How appropriate that Alfred Bernhard Nobel, after whom the peace
prize is named, made his fortune from the discovery of dynamite and the
manufacture of explosives! The Bilderberg Group had secured its enormous rise
in the price of oil and so well had it been done, the manipulators also had
someone else to blame for it - the Arab oil-producing countries. This is a

Zbigniew Brzezinski and the Jonestown Massacre of 1978: “There are three ways you can manipulate events to suit that
plan. You can set up the ‘cult’ from the start and control the
whole thing; you can infiltrate a group or community with agents provocateur
who then act in ways which discredit the innocent members, or you can simply
blame a group of people or sect for something they did not do. Whichever way
you choose, the outcome is the same - the word ‘cult’ is further
devalued in the collective consciousness. Two events which have been enormously

Jonestown Massacre of 1978 and Waco in 1993. The Jonestown encampment in
Guyana, South America, was the headquarters of the People’s Temple sect

California, then under the governorship of Ronald Reagan. An estimated 900
people died at Jonestown on November 18th 1978, in what was said to
have been a “mass suicide” achieved through cyanide poisoning and
shooting. At Waco in Texas 15 years later, we were asked to believe the same
official story of a “mass suicide” by the Branch Davidian sect run
by its ‘messiah’ figure, David Koresh. Who benefits from people
believing these official explanations? Those who want the word
‘cult’ to mean ‘dangerous nutters’. Intriguingly, therefore,
we can point out many connections with the intelligence agencies. // There are
other CIA connections to the Jonestown massacre. Richard Dwyer, the deputy
head of the US Embassy in Guyana and the local CIA chief, was known to be
involved. On a tape recorded at Jonestown when the violence flared, the voice
of Jim Jones can be heard shouting, “Get Dwyer out of here”. By his
own admission, Dwyer was seen stripping the dead of their wallets and other
identification on the orders of Zbigniew Brzezinski, a founder of the
Trilateral Commission and then Jimmy Carter’s National Security Advisor. //
The connections between Jones, Jonestown, and the intelligence agencies are
many. James T. Richardson, professor of sociology at the University of Nevada,
published a study of the People’s Temple in the Journal For The
Scientific Study Of Religion, in 1980. He wrote: “Because of the
negligence of US officials in not ordering immediate autopsies on those who
died in Guyana, we will never know how many died of suicide and how many were
murdered. Dr Leslie Mootoo, Chief Medical Examiner for the Guyana Government
and the first medically-trained person to arrive at Jonestown after the event,
told reporters: ‘I do not believe there were ever more than 200 persons
who died voluntarily.’
// There is also evidence that Jonestown was a mind control
experiment and a part of MKUltra. Large quantities of psychiatric drugs
were found there, enough to drug 200,000 people a year, and the members were
known to wear identification tags similar to those that people are given in
hospital. Indeed, the Jonestown complex included a substantial and
sophisticated hospital while conditions in the rest of the compound were poor.
The mix of blacks, women, and prisoners, mirrored the victims chosen for
MKUltra mind experimentation. The blacks were bound and gagged when they
arrived in Guyana and taken to the compound to work 18 hours a day. The links
between Jonestown, MKUltra, and Nazi-style ideology are explored by Michael
Meiers in ‘Was Jonestown A CIA Medical Experiment? A Review Of The
Evidence.’ He argues that Jonestown was the final field experiment of
MKUltra and that Jim Jones was a long-time CIA asset who had been secretly
supported by Ronald Reagan’s California administration in the years before
the operation moved to Guyana.
// The aftermath and official
explanations for the massacre were a familiar tale of provable lies and
contradictions. The number of people reported to have been living in
Jonestown was around 1100. This was based, it would appear, on a passport
count. But after the tragedy, the number of dead was given as only 400 and
later 913. As many as 200 were ‘missing’. This is a significant
figure because the elite guard around Jim Jones numbered between 120 and 200.
While the People’s Temple
membership was predominantly black, the elite guard was overwhelmingly white.
Elite guard or CIA guard? Despite the official figure of 900 dead, only 400
were found and the speculation was rife over what happened to the other 500. It
was at this point, according to testimony by the military commander
investigating Jonestown, that he was told by US government official, Robert
Pastor, to stop identifying the bodies. Pastor was the top aide to Zbigniew
Brzezinski. Surely identification of the bodies was essential if you really
wanted to know what happened! In the days following this order from
Brzezinski’s aide, the missing 500 bodies were miraculously found.
Where had they been hiding, pray? I promise you I am not joking here. They were
found, according to the official version, underneath the other 400! You only
have to look at the pictures of the first bodies to be found to see that there
is no way they were lying on top of another 500. But that is the official
version to this day. Ladies and gentlemen, they are just laughing at us. The
charred body said to be that of Jim Jones was never properly identified and he
almost certainly escaped with the white guards. The whole thing stinks, just
like the assassinations of Martin Luther King and JFK which,
‘coincidentally’, were being reinvestigated at the time of
Jonestown by a House Select Committee. // But ask most people today and if they
remember the Jonestown Massacre, they will speak of religious
‘nutters’ who committed suicide while under the influence of a
‘mad messiah’ and cult leader. That is what they are supposed to
think. Jonestown, the massacre, and its repercussions, served the

“April 2, 2008. Obama: I’d hire Al Gore. Would consider former vice
president for cabinet-level post or higher. Sen. Barack Obama said Wednesday he
would give Al Gore, a Nobel prize winner, a major role in an Obama
administration to address the problem of global warming. At a town-hall
meeting, Obama was asked if he would tap the former vice president for his
Cabinet, or an even higher level office, to handle global warming. “I
would,” Obama said. “Not only will I, but I will make a commitment
that Al Gore will be at the table and play a central part in us figuring out
how we solve this problem. He’s somebody I talk to on a regular basis.
I’m already consulting with him in terms of these issues, but climate
change is real. It is something we have to deal with now, not 10 years from
now, not 20 years from now.” Vice president? The only position higher
than a Cabinet post is vice president. While Obama seemed to dangle that
possibility in his answer Wednesday, he has repeatedly said it is far too early
to discuss potential vice presidents because the nomination has not been won.

Combating greenhouse gases (CO2) blamed for global warming. Winning
Nobel peace price for this. Sounds good, doesn’t it!?! But let’s
have a closer look what this “CO2-leads-to-global-warming-story” is
all about and what the financial and political interest behind it is:
Clue #1: Al Gore is one of the most recognizable and outspoken
proponents of combating anthropogenic global warming Al Gore constantly enlightens the masses and rallies them against
global warming, which he claims is caused by human activities and will soon
result in tragic and devastating changes to our planet. To them, he is the True
Hero of Mother Earth. To that end, Al Gore is the chairman of the Alliance for
Climate Protection, produced a movie documentary on global warming called An
Inconvenient Truth, is a major partner of eco-group Save Our Selves, organized
and supported the Live Earth climate change awareness concerts, supports the
Virgin Earth Challenge to remove greenhouse gases from the atmosphere, pushed
for the Kyoto Treaty in 1990, and has plenty of lectures and books on global
warming too. And horror of horrors, Al Gore has won the Nobel Peace Prize
for his fearmongering, money-draining, hoax-spreading efforts! Though his
solutions for global warming involve bankrupting the economy and keeping the Third World in poverty, his efforts are celebrated as
‘peace’. Then again, remember that the Nobel Peace Prize is given
to works-in-progress, which explains why he can be nominated even though
practically zero is being accomplished to stop global warming. Other great
examples of Nobel Peace Prize peaceful-efforts effectiveness: Henry Kissinger,
Yasser Arafat and Jimmy Carter. Clearly, Al Gore is strongly supportive of
ordinary citizens and national governments taking real action to combat global
warming. So how does Al Gore himself take real action to mitigate the impending
climate disaster? Move on to clue number two.
Clue #2: Al Gore refuses to take a Personal Energy Ethics Pledge Back in March of 2007, Al Gore said before various assembled
politicians that global warming is a moral, not a political issue. In his Oscar
winning, but highly inaccurate film An Inconvenient Truth, Al Gore asked every
viewer: “Are you ready to change the way you live?” in order to
reduce greenhouse gas emissions and thus, global warming? And in his Oscar
acceptance speech, Al Gore said: “My fellow Americans, people all over
the world, we need to solve the climate crisis. It’s not a political
issue; it’s a moral issue. We have everything we need to get started,
with the possible exception of the will to act. That’s a renewable
resource. Let’s renew it.” Well, Republican Senator James Inhofe
responded to Al Gore’s call to ethical morality, lifestyle change, and
the will to act by asking Al Gore himself: “There are hundreds of
thousands of people who adore you and would follow your example by reducing
their energy usage if you did. Don’t give us the run-around on carbon
offsets or the gimmicks the wealthy do. Are you willing to make a commitment
here today by taking this pledge to consume no more energy for use in your
residence than the average American household by one year from today?”
Inhofe then invited Gore to take the following ‘Personal Energy Ethics
Pledge’: “As a believer: that human-caused global warming is a
moral, ethical, and spiritual issue affecting our survival; that home energy
use is a key component of overall energy use; that reducing my fossil
fuel-based home energy usage will lead to lower greenhouse gas emissions; and
that leaders on moral issues should lead by example; I pledge to consume no
more energy for use in my residence than the average American household by

Hearing — But why? Wouldn’t it be an excellent example, a
brilliant piece of motivation to all his followers, if Al Gore - the MAN
himself - reduced his greenhouse gas output ion order to save the earth? Move
on to clue number three to find out why…
Clue #3: Al Gore consumes huge amounts of energy and emits massive
amounts of greenhouse gases When you take a look at Al Gore’s consumption and emission
habits, you’ll realize why he and all other celebrity global warming
proponents are so loathe to reduce their carbon footprints…It’s
basically impossible to cut down their resource use and waste output without
cutting down their level of comfort and decadence! The average household in America
consumes 10,656 kilowatt-hours (kWh) per year. In 2006, Gore devoured nearly
221,000 kWh. That’s more than 20 times the national average. In August
2006 alone, Gore burned through 22,619 kWh, guzzling more than twice the
electricity in one month than an average American family uses in an entire
year. Since the release of his movie ‘An Inconvenient Truth’,
Gore’s energy consumption has increased from an average of 16,200 kWh per
month in 2005 to 18,400 kWh per month in 2006. Natural gas bills for
Gore’s mansion and guest house averaged $1,080 per month last year. -

Clue #4: Al Gore purchases carbon emission offsets Gore purchased 108 blocks of “green power” for each of the
past three months up to Feb 2007, according to a summary of his power bills.
That’s a total of $432 a month Gore paid extra for solar or other
renewable energy sources. The green power Gore purchased is equivalent to
recycling 2.48 million aluminum cans or 286,092 pounds of newspaper, according
to comparison figures on NES’s Web site. - From Detroit Free Press:
Critics question how green Gore really is — Meanwhile, in order to
mitigate the obscene amounts of energy sucked up and carbon dioxide spewed out
by Al Gore’s Live Trash - I mean, Live Earth, the organizers and
jet-across-the-world-to-perform-at-Live-Earth music artistes also buy some
carbon offsets, spending a fraction of the vast riches at their disposal. So
the next investigative question is: Where does Al Gore get all his money to
purchase carbon offsets with? And what mysterious source might he buy those
offsets from?
DEDUCTION: Al Gore stirs up paranoid fears about global warming through concerts,
speeches, books and a film. Al Gore strongly urges listeners and viewers to cut down their carbon
footprint, or if they are unable to, to purchase carbon offsets. Al Gore pushes for mandatory, government enforced carbon emissions caps
to limit carbon dioxide output from industry. If they cannot do so, they may
instead purchase carbon credits as a form of trade with less CO2-emitting
companies and carbon trade brokers. Al Gore founded and chairs a carbon trading company which - completely
by coincidence of course - provides the required guilt-assuaging, carbon
penalty-avoiding carbon offsets and credits. Al Gore meanwhile lives and splurges extravagantly, consuming obscene
amounts of resources and energy while polluting the atmosphere with much more
carbon dioxide than ordinary folk. He justifies this by purchasing carbon
offsets from himself. (This is like eating at your own restaurant.) The above shows how Al Gore doesn’t seem to follow his own
heartfelt call to live change the way we live in order to stop global warming.
Neither does he act as if global warming is really the dire and impending doom
he publicly and loudly warns it is. (This is like warning everyone that the
water tank is nearly empty while taking an hour-long shower…every few
hours.)
CONCLUSION: Al Gore is using global warming hysteria - which he himself
doesn’t really believe in - to rake in huge profits through his carbon
trading company, at the expense of individuals, businesses, industries and
government.

greenhouse gases. As an example, one tradable carbon credit might permit the
emission of one ton of CO2. If a business emits more tons of CO2 than its
supply of credits allows, it has the option to buy surplus credits from other
firms—or it will have to pay a fine in proportion to the amount of the
excess emission. By contrast, businesses that emit less than their allocation
can sell their excess credits. This system, which may sound
market-friendly, is something only a bureaucrat could dream up. The
twist is that the carbon market exists only because the government’s
imposition of a cap creates an artificial scarcity in the right to produce
energy. In a cap-and-trade system, buyers will purchase their offsets from a
broker or through an electronic trading platform. In Europe,
carbon trading is already a reality. Since 2005, carbon offsets have been
traded electronically on the European Climate Exchange (ECX). // The real
problem is that every country’s government has an incentive to cheat on
behalf of its domestic producers. This has been the European Union’s (EU)
experience with the Emissions Trading System (ETS) that the EU established to
implement the Kyoto Protocol. In just about every EU country except Britain, the
credits allowed exceed the corresponding tons of emissions. Carbon offsets
provide even more opportunities to cheat. // To critics on both the free-market
right and the environmentalist left, carbon offsets are no more than a

weight of financial scandal, Enron under CEO Ken Lay was a key proponent of the
cap-and-trade idea. So was BP’s Lord John Browne, before he resigned last
May under a cloud of personal scandal. In August 1997, Lay and Browne met with
President Bill Clinton and Vice President Gore in the Oval Office to develop
administration positions for the Kyoto
negotiations that resulted in an international treaty to regulate greenhouse
gas emissions. The U.S. Senate voted 95 to 0 not to ratify the Kyoto treaty in 1997. But that hasn’t
stopped Al Gore. Gore’s Circle of Business. Al Gore is chairman and
founder of a private equity firm called Generation Investment Management (GIM).
According to Gore, the London-based firm invests money from institutions and
wealthy investors in companies that are going green. “Generation
Investment Management, purchases—but isn’t a provider
of—carbon dioxide offsets,” said spokesman Richard Campbell in a
March 7 report by CNSNews. GIM appears to have considerable influence over
the major carbon-credit trading firms that currently exist: the Chicago Climate
Exchange (CCX) in the U.S. and the Carbon Neutral Company (CNC) in Great Britain.
CCX is the only firm in the U.S.
that claims to trade carbon credits. // On the CCX board of directors is the
ubiquitous Maurice Strong, a Canadian industrialist and diplomat who, since
the 1970s, has helped create an international policy agenda for the
environmentalist movement. Strong has described himself as “a socialist
in ideology, a capitalist in methodology.” His former job titles include
“senior advisor” to UN Secretary General Kofi Annan, “senior
advisor” to World Bank President James Wolfensohn and board member of the
United Nations Foundation, a creation of Ted Turner. The 78-year-old Strong
is very close to Gore. // Along with Gore, the co-founder of GIM is Treasury
Secretary and former Goldman Sachs CEO Hank Paulson. Last September,
Goldman Sachs bought 10% of CCX shares for $23 million. CCX owns half the ECX,
so Goldman Sachs has a stake there as well. GIM’s “founding
partners” are studded with officials from Goldman Sachs. // Another
founding partner is Peter Knight, who is the designated president of GIM. He
was Sen. Al Gore’s chief of staff from 1977-1989 and the campaign manager
of the 1996 Clinton-Gore re-election campaign. // Like CCX, the ECX has about
80 member companies, including Barclays, BP, Calyon, Endesa, Fortis, Goldman
Sachs, Morgan Stanley and Shell, and ECX has contracted with the European Union
to further develop a futures market in carbon trading. What’s in it for
the companies? They will benefit either by investing in carbon credits or by
receiving subsidies for doing so. // Clearly, GIM is poised to cash in on
carbon trading. The membership of CCX is currently voluntary. But if the
day ever comes when federal government regulations require greenhouse-gas
emitters—and that’s almost everyone—to participate in
cap-and-trade, then those who have created a market for the exchange of carbon
credits are in a position to control the outcomes. And that moves Al Gore
front and center. As a politician, Gore is all for transparency. But as GIM
chairman, Gore has not been forthcoming, according to Forbes magazine. Little
is known about his firm’s finances, where it gets funding and what
projects it supports. // Some environmentalist groups disparage Gore and his
investment banker friends. They say the Gore group caters to others who share
their financial interest in the carbon-exchange concept. // In fact, the World
Bank now operates a Carbon Finance Unit that conducts research on how to
develop and trade carbon credits. The bank works with Italy, the Netherlands,
Denmark and Spain to set up
carbon-credit funds in each country to purchase emission credits from firms for
use in developing countries. In addition, it runs the Carbon Fund for Europe helping countries meet their Kyoto Protocol requirements.
These funds are traded on the ECX (half of which is owned by CCX, itself a
creature of Al Gore’s firm, Generation Investment Management). Can we
connect the dots? // So it seems banks and investment houses are going
green, eager to enter an emerging emissions market. Meanwhile,
environmentalists are discovering new ways to get rich while believing they are
saving polar bears and rainforests. // There are billions of dollars to be
made in trading emissions credits. But first the federal government must force
everyone to play the game. As for Al Gore, the former Vice President brings
emotional fervor to his carbon crusade. He travels the country displaying
charts and graphs, quoting scientific experts and appealing to philosophers and
religious leaders to save the planet from global warming. But he says
nothing about his business partners who yearn to trade on the emerging carbon
market. And the media pay no attention to the companies offering

what’s in it for The University of Chicago Hospitals”? It would
(according to the newspaper) “free up space at the university’s
highly regarded medical center to allow it to serve more patients with private
insurance.” My take then was as follows. “So not only does this
scheme allow the university to increase profits, by decreasing the number of
poor patients they treat (a key condition for their tax-exempt status) but it
has the extra benefit of removing a lot of poor people who had been sharing the
lobby, emergency rooms and other facilities, from mingling with those upscale
people who have insurance.
That was then, this is now. Bruce Japsen an excellent reporter
who covers healthcare for the Chicago Tribune reported earlier this week that
not-for-profit The University of Chicago Hospitals was making “another
attempt to compete with Northwestern Memorial Hospital on its home turf”
by opening an office on the Magnificent Mile. He wrote in part, that “A
source close to the move said cardiology services will be part of the leased
space, believed to be at least one floor. The services will include some University of Chicago heart doctors in order to
attract by referral a more affluent patient base of people who live and work
downtown”. That story prompted this report from Wall Street Journal
reporter Sarah Rubenstein. It was titled, “Hospital turf war over
well-heeled patients in Chicago”.
“Prosperous patients can do wonders for a hospital’s finances. So
the University of Chicago Medical Center, on the city’s South Side, is
looking for a toehold in NorthwesternMemorialHospital’s
home turf, off Chicago’s
Magnificent Mile. “The Chicago Tribune reports that the University of Chicago Medical Center is planning a
physician practice within walking distance of Northwestern Memorial. It
appears that cardiology services will be part of the offering, including some University of Chicago heart doctors who can attract
wealthier patients who live and work downtown. // The University of Chicago’s
new practice is part of a broader effort to attract patients who can pay their
bills, according to the Tribune.” Valerie Jarrett one of Barack

closed on it the exact same day. Later Rezko sold a strip of that parcel to
Obama, a politician who (according to Senator Obama) he had raised over
$250,000 for over the past few years. Obama himself disclosed that figure to
the editorial boards of both Chicago
papers on Friday, a figure which was $100,000 higher than his campaign admitted
to in the past. Both papers had been upset over the fact that Obama had never
fully answered questions about his relationship with Rezko, until Friday.
Hoping to have all the negative stories rolled into one, he also spent a lot of
time explaining his relationship with the Reverend Jeremiah Wright Jr., the
controversial pastor who married Obama and his wife Michelle, baptized their
two daughters and is credited by Obama for the title of his book, “The
Audacity of Hope.” It’s an old tactic to deal with everything bad
at once (because no newspaper can give the proper attention to everything that
is raised), and more importantly it allows a candidate to later say,
“that’s old news-I have already talked about that”. Case in
point-Obama who has repeatedly refused to disclose the list of
“earmark” expenditures he had proposed during his first two years
in the Senate, finally did release them last Thursday evening. Here’s the
one that caught my eye. In 2006, Obama requested that the University of Chicago
receive $1 million to support its construction of a new hospital pavilion.
Let’s review. Michelle Obama was promoted to vice president for external
affairs in March 2005, just two months after her husband took office in the
Senate. That so-called “normal promotion” nearly tripled her income
from the hospital from $121,910 in 2004 to $316,962 in 2005. In 2005,

of Chicago Hospitals made
a then record profit of $103,642,743. Fast forward to fiscal year 2007, where
once again this not-for-profit hospital set an all time record profit of
$143,158,000. For the first 6 months of their FY08, this system has already
reported making $118,724,000 in profits. As of 3/31/07 they were sitting on
$717,196,000 in cash and investments. Given those facts, it’s hard to see
why this hospital needed that $1 million. As for Rezko buying that piece of
land, the Senator told the Chicago Tribune editorial board that “frankly,
I did not think (he) was doing me a favor”. When the Tribune questioned
his judgment concerning Tony Rezko, he told them, “I think that the way
they (voters) should view it is that I made a mistake in not seeing the potential
conflicts of interest or appearances of impropriety...” So what about
not seeing the “potential conflicts of interest or appearances of
impropriety” in trying to get $1 million for a very profitable hospital
that gave his wife a huge raise? Obama told the Tribune that he should have
“left that item” (the $1 million) “to fellow Illinois Senator
Dick Durbin”. See that way Durbin would have been doing the hospital the
favor that Obama doesn’t consider to be a favor. He’s perfecting being
indignant when questioned.”

story in 2007. “Although Mrs. Obama had recently been appointed as vice

her to scale back her professional commitments. In May 2007, she reduced her
work schedule to 20 percent in order to meet the needs of her family while
participating in the campaign.” In 2005, she received $316,962 in total
compensation as a hospital executive. QUESTION: How does working only 20% of
the time get you $212,000? You might think a reporter would want to clear
that up, but reporters don’t report anything negative on the
Obama’s unless in the rare instance they find it themselves, or it is
made as a charge by another candidate.”

his friend Eric Whitaker from the most unethical if not the most corrupt

sometimes on the Obama plane: Eric Whitaker, executive vice president of the
University of ChicagoMedicalCenter...”
Well, Eric was hired by that very profitable not-for-profit hospital just last
September 17, 2007. Which means, he’s already built up a lot of
vacation time, is taking a lot of unpaid days off, or the hospital is providing
an illegal corporate contribution to a federal election campaign by paying him
to accompany the husband (Barack Obama) of one of their highly paid
vice-presidents (Michelle Obama). Before joining the not-for-profit
University of Chicago Medical Center (profits FY07=$143,150,000, profits first
six months of FY08=$118,724,000), Eric was part of Illinois Governor Rod
Blagojevich’s administration, which many impartial observers have tagged
as the most unethical if not the most corrupt administration in the history of
Illinois. Eric served the Governor as Director of Public Health. This is an
administration that in the area of healthcare has become a laughingstock. First
they tried to get national attention over their plan to allow Illinois
residents to buy drugs cheaper from Canada. A study showed that after
19 months only 3,689 individuals from Illinois
placed orders, and the administrative cost far and away outweighed any supposed
savings. Then there was the fiasco where the state ordered millions of dollars
of flu vaccines from overseas. They never arrived, were never delivered to
anyone else, and now Illinois
taxpayers may have to come up with millions to pay for this public relations
gimmick. And then there’s the Governor’s latest plan to raise taxes
by about $7 billion to pay for his health care proposals. And yes, Eric
Whitaker was at the Governor’s side for every one of these disastrous
proposals. As Director of that state agency, he made approximately $150,000
a year. The average vice-president at the University of Chicago Medical Center
gets well over $300,000 a year. Oh, we should mention that before he became
Director of the Illinois Department of Health, he worked at the CookCounty
Bureau of Health Services in Chicago,
which again has been described by many as the most corrupt and inefficient
taxpayer supported public health system in the entire country. And
let’s not forget that Valerie Jarrett a member of the Board of Directors
of this same not-for-profit hospital travels with Michelle Obama. Valerie also
makes money working at Navigant Consulting, a health care consulting group that
is committed to “improving your bottom line”. Add in the facts that
this hospital spent over $5.2 million on collection fees in 2005, and almost $4
million that year on advertising, in an effort to increase market share, a
hospital that according to the American Hospital Directory increased its
charges over a four year period (2002-2006) by $1.1 BILLION, while reporting
that their actual costs during that same time increased by only $139.8 million,
and you might gain some insight into what healthcare might look like in an
Obama administration.”

serving as a State Senator in Illinois.
Dan Hynes is the State Comptroller for Illinois
(an elected position) and one of the men Obama beat in the Illinois Democratic primary for the U.S.
Senate. After that race, they became very close friends. As a matter of fact,
Hynes was one of the first public officials to publicly encourage Obama to run
for President. Hynes has raised money for him and even travelled to Iowa to go door to door
for him. Recently in anticipation of the Illinois Governor’s annual
budget address, Hynes did a tour of various editorial boards to go over how he
sees the finances for state government. One columnist wrote this. “Hynes
went to the editorial boards armed with statistics showing that the number of
uninsured Illinoisans did not decrease at all between 2003 and 2006, despite
the money and effort expended by Blagojevich (Barack Obama’s presidential
campaign may not have appreciated that shot, considering Obama’s claim to
have insured so many people here, but the point has so far been lost in the
shuffle).” Facts are a terrible thing when you are desperate to show you
accomplished something. Oh well his wife’s hospital is still making a
fortune.”

called “done” in a big presidential contest.” Here’s a
perfect example. The following comes from a posting from Illinois Political
Columnist Rich Miller, on his blog Monday. It was titled “Obamarama.
Healthcare savior or dud?” “If you heard Barack Obama’s Iowa victory speech, you might conclude Illinois has universal health care.
“I’ll be a president who finally makes health care affordable and
available to every single American, the same way I expanded health care in
Illinois, by bringing Democrats and Republicans together to get the job
done,” the Chicago Democrat said Thursday. But Illinois doesn’t
have universal health care. He didn’t say he made health care
‘universal,’ only that he ‘expanded’ it in Illinois.
Still, if you didn’t pay close attention you may have missed that
distinction. “He has united Democrats and Republicans to expand health care
to over 150,000 Illinois residents,” said campaign spokesman Ben LeBolt.
LeBolt said Obama helped expand Family Care that covers parents and their
children by raising income levels so more would qualify. And he pointed to
Obama being the chief sponsor of the Health Care Justice Act, which created a
commission charged with making suggestions for how to improve and expand
coverage. Here’s some more background on the bill from Politifact, which
took a look at Obama’s claim that he had added more than 150,000
people to the health insurance rolls last September. “The statement
is based on a 2003 law Obama sponsored when he was an Illinois state senator.
His bill expanded income eligibility for KidCare and FamilyCare, the state
health insurance programs for low-income families. Gov. Ron Blagojevich, a
Democrat, signed the bill on July 1, 2003. Obama’s bill worked by
increasing the amount of money a family could earn and still qualify for health
insurance. Before Obama’s bill, families had to make less than 185
percent of the federal poverty line; after Obama’s bill, they had to make
less than 200 percent. In practice, this meant that before Obama’s bill,
a family of three couldn’t make more than $28,236 to qualify. After
Obama’s bill they could make up to $30,516 and still qualify. After the
new law passed, both programs saw sizable increases in enrollment.
Children’s enrollment increased by 55,421 between 2003 and 2005,
according to a study from the Henry J. Kaiser Family Foundation. Adult
enrollment increased by 100,458 between 2003 and 2006. That comes to a total of
155,879. So after Obama’s legislation passed, more than 150,000 people
did get health insurance. However...The numbers for new enrollees don’t
distinguish between those who would have qualified without Obama’s
legislation, and those who needed his legislation to be able to join.
Ironically, the state commission set up by an Obama bill to look at how to
provide universal health care included this provision. The proposal’s
key feature is an individual mandate, under which the state would require all
residents to obtain health coverage. It also would force employers to provide
health coverage to their workers or pay into a state fund-an idea known as
‘pay or play.’ Candidate Obama has rejected Sen. Hillary
Clinton’s proposal for individual mandates. Clinton has repeatedly
slammed Obama for this omission.” Oh this is going to get fun.”

Stock in Westchester-based TreeHouse began trading on June 15, 2005. Elected to
its board of directors on June 6 of that year was Michelle Obama, who receives
$30,000 a year plus $1,500 per board or committee meeting she attends. That
totaled $45,000 in 2005, according to Mr. Obama’s Senate ethics disclosure.
Ms. Obama got 7,500 stock options this year, company filings show. At the
current price of TreeHouse stock, she has a paper profit of about $60,000 on
the options. Now, I never thought there was that much money peddling pickles,
non-dairy creamer, puddings and related goods to grocery stores, which is what
TreeHouse does. Apparently I was wrong. In 2005, TreeHouse CEO Sam Reed was
one of the highest-paid executives in Illinois. In fact, on Crain’s
annual Fortunate 100 list of best-compensated execs, Mr. Reed ranked No. 2,
with total compensation of nearly $26.2 million, just ahead of Motorola
Inc. chief Edward Zander and Abbott Laboratories boss Miles White. // Amid all
that optioning, TreeHouse did something else in 2005: On Nov. 26, 2005 it
announced plans to close its La Junta, Colorado, pickle plant, a move that
claimed the jobs of 153 workers, most of them Hispanic — a big blow to a
rural town with only 9,500 residents. The jobs paid a starting wage of $11 an
hour, good pay for the area. The company blamed slowing pickle sales. But the
locals are still furious. “Prior to the closing, they told us this plant
was as efficient as any, that they had hardworking and loyal employees,”
says La Junta Mayor Don Rizzuto. The firm even spent money on an expansion a
few years earlier, and the town paid for needed roadwork. Adds the mayor:
“In Chicago, 150 jobs is a pebble on the beach. In La Junta, it’s a
slice of the beach.” TreeHouse is rumored to be in the market to buy
other food firms or to be acquired itself. It has something valuable to offer:

largest customer, Wal-Mart (including its subsidiaries, such as Sam’s
Club), represented approximately 11.7% of our net sales.” Ms. Obama,

says she was asked to join the board — five months after her husband
took office — after putting out feelers indicating she’d like to
get some corporate management experience. // Meanwhile, Mayor Rizzuto has an

“look at the people and the town they’re affecting.” He adds,
“If she and her husband are the champion of the little guy, it’s
